Yesterday we went to Aldergrove Lake after picking up Hiroki from school. We had a swim and BBQ.
Gabi has enjoyed our outside time too...now 3 weeks old. Where has the time gone?
Today we went to Cultus Lake after naptime. The boys loved the docks, the little fish and as you can see we are raising our own school of fish...look at these boys!
Jumping off the dock...and not just Elijah! Samuel did it too, holding Jason's hands:
I asked Jason to take the camera out and take photos of Elijah swimming so I can scrapbook a page of this achievement... he got some great shots of him, check it out. I'm still so impressed with Elijah, my little fish!

So is EJ a natural?? or has he had lessons! It's so great when kids enjoying swimming! (IMO)

Yes, EJ is a natural! Well, Jason has encouraged him to take a lot of "risks" and so he has just come this far on his own. No lessons. (maybe you missed my post on "he can swim" back in June when you were really busy, check it out!)
On their feet: in the first photo EJ has his water "shoes" on... they are neoprene (is that what it is, like wet suit material) sock things... then he put on his flip flops after b/c those weren't protecting his feet from the rocky beach/water.
Samuel has actual water shoes on.

We did the lake on Thursday... yesterday he was invited to go to the waterslides after school, so he did of course.
Today we were going to go back to the beach, but the weather has turned, so we are heading into Vancouver for the Symphony of Fire Fireworks...
can't wait.
You are so good at finding and actually participating in family fun! With you as my example, I took the boys to Sumas Day today. It was just getting started when we arrived but it was a good start for me to get them to different community activities. I'll watch your blog for more coming this summer!
