we're moving -

This past month we've sold our home and bought a house! Ya, nothing out of the ordinary for us to be doing, we know! After Fran and Amy leave, we'll have about 1 week to get everything packed up and out of here. Here's a picture of our new house:we are excited to move in - and do have a plan to stay closer to 10 years!

recently

I have started to have Luke and Erin here weekly for just a morning 'visit' while Alexa goes to work. Elijah is at school, so Luke and Samuel play together - this is the first time - we made playdough.
Fran and Amy husking corn for the first timeGabi joining in by nibbling on the raw cobs
And last Sunday we went to visit Joe, Patti and Family. They were blessed with their third child on September 10th, a baby girl who they've named Riley Marie! What a sweetheart! Joe and Patti actually had all their Family and friends over for a BBQ only 4 days after Riley was born - crazy!! Riley is beautiful! Fran and Amy loved the opportunity to hold Rileyand big Sister Madison is so proud and such a good big sister!Congratulations Patti!

Happy Birthday Fran and Amy!

On September 5, before Jason left for a week back East, I had Fran and Amy's birthday party -- they turned 12 on September 9th. We went swimming, ate Chinese food for dinner, did a craft, movie and had cake! I did this simple High School Musical cake for them - I just used HSM stickers popped up with marshmallows on the cake and the letters HSM... with 2 red pompoms to decorate the surrounding area. The girls were quite excited about this!

Kindergarten

Oh man, my Baby started Kindergarten. It's bittersweet - I feel sad to let him go but am enjoying the full day with just Sam and Gabi. Elijah is doing so well and loves it. His Teacher said to me on day 2 "Elijah is doing well; he listens so intently to be able to do the right thing." (or something like that).
On his first day (here), he was sooo quiet in the morning which made me a little concerned. I think it was just the anticipation of the unknown and just the busyness of all the kids in the morning before the bell rings...and well, here's Mr. Copycat himself, Samuel, following his brother into the school for his first day... I made the mistake of bringing Sam along (I could have left him at home with Daddy) - Sam brought his backpack and was certain he was going to Kindergarten too. He took off his shoes and put them in the shoe area...he was not happy when I had to take him with me.Bless You Son... you are going to learn so much this year!

Salmon Arm

What a great weekend! We made our annual trip to see our friends Noah, Katherine, Beth and Ky. This time we were bringing our Family of 7 along, but luckily there was plenty of space for us all.

Fran and Amy had a most wonderful time - creating so many new memories and experiencing new things! Thank You to Beth who entertained the girls for the three days - they really enjoyed playing the games, jumping on the trampoline, racing in the wagon... and Noah - you were so kind and took such an interest in these Girls - thank you!! :)
Here are the different things we did -
