Safari Jeff and Shannon's Great Green Adventure Show

We went to this presentation tonight at Sevenoak's Shopping Centre. It was so cool to see an alligator, crocodile, tortiose and snakes. Elijah wasn't even a bit frightened to pet the alligator and the tortoise at the end of the show.

The BUMBO Seat

Here is Samuel at 11 1/2 weeks. He is sitting quite content in this seat they call a Bumbo Seat. We borrowed it from the Bilodeau's. (thanks!) Sam had fun watching his brother and Jayden playing around him.
He is doing well holding up his head as you can see. It lasted for a few minutes before he was totally slouched over, not complaining but not looking too comfortable either.

It's nice to also have another 'thing' to put into our rotation for Sam "to do". Up until now it's been his bouncy seat and swing. We do have a really cool floor activity mat but with two 2 year olds nearby, we don't get to put Samuel on the floor all that often. And soon to come into rotation will be the exersaucer. Yeah!

The Bilodeau's Birthday party

Today we (the three boys and I) went to a birthday party at the Bilodeau's. Emma turned five and her twin brother and sister turned one this month. We really enjoyed getting out of the house this morning. Joining 25 other children at this party and their mom's was so much fun. Here is Emma holding Samuel.

Isn't Sammie getting so big? I can't believe it and I'm the one that sees him everyday all day! (Samuel is 2.5 months)

St. Patty's Fun

Today the boys made "green collages" with green "junk". It was fun for them. Then we got out our books for colouring in... we drew lots of things together. When I turned my head for a minute the boys had a great time colouring but not in their books!! See! It was rather cute that I had to take a picture. Sometimes you just have to
laugh even when it was a no-no.

March eleventh and twelth

This weekend was a great one in the sunshine! With snow this past week (March 9) we welcomed the sunshine with open arms and smiles on our faces.
We kept busy this weekend by going to a Veggie Tales release party at House of James ~ Elijah enjoyed watching the new video and eating some complimentary popcorn. Then we made it to our weekend lunch tradition ~ McDonald's or "donald's" as Elijah calls it. We then walked across the street to the Mall parking lot to see the "westcoast amusement park" rides. EJ was happy to watch (for now).
We ended our day at the Carpenter's. They had us over for dinner; a spectacular dinner that Wendy prepared for us! The boys played and the adults talked until way past my bedtime.
On Sunday we went to church... and after naptime we had to get out in the sun. We went over to Bevan Park and met 5 other families from church there. We each brought a picnic dinner and played hard in the playground. Elijah and Jenna are little buds... I'll hopefully get some pics from Royce to post here.
It was a lovely weekend for all of us!

Evening with the Carpenter's

Brock has a really neat game called Cariboo by Cranium. Elijah and Brock had fun matching up the colours to find the hiding balls under the game board.

Storytime from Mr. Bryon and Mrs. Wendy. We love DORA books. "swiper, no swiping!"

Jen and her Men

This morning before trekking out for our Saturday excursions I made us set up the tripod and give a big family smile! Here we are... Elijah at 2 years 5 months and Samuel at 9 weeks. (Sam is being held a bit awkward, but I'm not about to pull out the tripod again!)

Brotherly Love

Besides Elijah's bedhead (he just got up from his nap) as their mother I think this is quite a cute shot of my boys. Sammie loves to watch his big brother play and dance around. And Elijah loves to laugh at Samuel and touch his face and fingers; gently of course!
They are going to become quite the buds soon enough.

Honorary Grandparents

On Saturday, Feb 25 Georges and Micheline dropped in to meet their newest grandbaby, Samuel. Georges and Micheline are Jason's cousins from the Okanagan, but they asked if they could be our children's honorary grandparents after Elijah was born. Since our boys only have one set of grandparents, we of course were delighted at their request.
Elijah was thrilled to see them again...and Sam, well you can see he enjoyed some sleep as they cradled him. Thanks for coming Grandpa and Grandma!

"Oh, what's that Momma?"

"It's a camera, Sammie. Momma likes to take pictures of you and Elijah! Be thankful, because although you are the second child & a second boy at that, I am very eager to keep the photos coming! There will be no lack of a scrapbook of your life. Momma now just has to define the line of how much I can post to show off you and Elijah to our family and friends afar." (you don't mind right?!)
This week Samuel turned 7 weeks old. What a difference already, as you can see. He weighed in yesterday at 11lbs at our final Midwife Visit. He is now 23 inches long as well. Samuel is very alert, following objects or our hand as it intentionally passes his eyes, smiling a bit (notice photo) and cooing. Elijah is enjoying this change too!

Winter Festival

Saturday, Feb 11 we went to a local 'winter festival'. Here Elijah and I are making a Valentine's Day crown. He loved wearing it ~ he is such a hat-boy.
It was a great way to spend a Saturday morning as a family!

Our Two Boys

I got the boys to pose for me in their diapers only
so I could try to get a fun shot for a
V-Day card I wanted to make for Jason.
It worked well, I think!
Elijah cooperated and
Samuel looked my direction thankfully!
EJ (Elijah) is 28 months
and Sam is 5 1/2 weeks here.

On January 1, 2006 at 11:21pm we welcomed our second son into our family! Samuel Hudson came into the world at 7lbs and 19 3/4 inches long. Here he is with his proud dadda and his excited big brother, Elijah, on day 1.
